HR Generalist

Job Description

COMSOL, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a well-rounded HR professional who can handle a variety of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and policy implementation. This is an in-office position, M-F

Primary Responsibilities
Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
Act as liaison for benefits programs and answer employee questions regarding benefits and policies
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Support employee relations efforts by addressing employee inquiries and assisting with workplace investigations when needed
Coordinate employee training, performance review processes, and development initiatives
Assist in developing, updating and communicating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content
Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee data in HR systems
Help plan employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
1–3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and HR compliance requirements
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to build rapport throughout the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
High degree of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with professional discretion
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned projects and workflows
Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas or F-1 visa holders will be offered for this position
Helpful Qualifications
Experience with Paylocity and/or BambooHR
HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
