Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a passion for human resources and a desire to learn about the various aspects of HR management in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Participate in employee evaluation processes and assist with performance management initiatives.
  • Help maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data entry.
  • Contribute to projects related to talent management, succession planning, and change management.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and respond to inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Support workforce management efforts by collecting and analyzing HR data for reporting purposes.
  • Engage in social media management to promote company culture and job openings.
  • Collaborate with team members on various HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Skills

  • Knowledge of human capital management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with employment & labor law, FMLA, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning.
  • Understanding of talent acquisition strategies, including recruiting and interviewing techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management skills to assist with HR initiatives effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Experience with HR software systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis for workforce management reporting.
  • Administrative experience that includes familiarity with payroll systems like Kronos or UltiPro is advantageous.
