HR Intern

Launch Your HR Career This Summer | Human Resources Intern — The Will Group

For nearly four decades, The Will Group has been building the infrastructure that powers communities — from engineered structures to program management, warehousing, and beyond. We don't just do transactions. We create transformations. And this summer, we're inviting a driven, curious HR student to be part of that mission.

About the Internship

This isn't a "make copies and get coffee" internship. As our HR Summer Intern, you'll spend 10 weeks embedded in a real HR team, working on real projects that real people depend on. You'll touch everything from recruiting and onboarding to compliance, DEI, data integrity, and employee engagement — and you'll walk away with a portfolio of work you're genuinely proud of.

At the end of your internship, you'll present a capstone project to the team — a chance to show what you've learned, what you've built, and where you're headed.

Duration: 10 weeks | Pay: $20.00/hour

What You'll Do

Rotate through key HR functions including recruiting, analytics, talent management, and training and development. Support HRIS data integrity using Paycom, uploading HR policies and organizing digital personnel records. Contribute to employee communications, presentations, and process improvement initiatives. Research federal and state employment legislation to support compliance efforts. Coordinate interviews, assist with career fairs, prep new hire documentation, and support orientation. Champion DEI and learning and development efforts. Identify and help implement solutions that streamline HR processes and boost employee self-service. Help plan company events, lunches, and employee engagement activities. Collaborate with HR team members and engage across departments to drive efficiency and innovation.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with an HR concentration. You bring strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization and time management, and the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines. You handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, and you're proficient in Microsoft Office — Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Most importantly, you have a genuine enthusiasm for HR and a hunger to learn.

Why The Will Group

We're a company that has grown and thrived for nearly 40 years because we invest in people — our customers, our communities, and our teams. As an intern here, you won't be on the sidelines. You'll be in the room, contributing to decisions, learning from experienced HR professionals, and building skills that will form the foundation of your career.

The Will Group is an equal opportunity employer. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hour. Factors affecting starting pay may include geography, skills, education, and experience.
