We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, with a strong focus on supporting our unique studio culture and the specific needs of game development professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR within the gaming industry, understanding its unique challenges and opportunities, especially concerning talent acquisition, retention, and fostering a high-performance creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for all studio roles (development, art, design, production, marketing, etc.), from sourcing to offer negotiation.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to attract top talent in the competitive gaming industry.
- Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs that integrate new hires into our studio culture and development pipelines.
- Employee Relations & Culture:
- Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for all employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Champion and evolve our studio's positive, inclusive, and creative culture.
- Organize and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, well-being, and work-life balance within a demanding creative field.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and manage performance review cycles, ensuring clear goal setting, constructive feedback, and professional development.
- Implement strategies for talent development, succession planning, and career pathing for studio professionals.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee competitive compensation structures and benefits packages relevant to the gaming industry.
- Conduct market research to ensure our offerings remain attractive for attracting and retaining talent.
- HR Policy & Compliance:
- Develop, update, and ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements [mention specific region's labor laws, e.g., UAE Labor Law].
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Learning & Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate relevant learning opportunities to enhance skill sets and professional growth.
- Foster a continuous learning environment within the studio.
- HR Strategy & Support:
- Partner with studio leadership to align HR initiatives with overall business objectives and growth strategies.
- Provide strategic HR guidance on organizational design, change management, and workforce planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI-PHR, SPHR, or equivalent local certification) is a strong plus.
- Minimum of [X, e.g., 5-7] years of progressive HR experience, with at least [Y, e.g., 2-3] years specifically within the video game industry (game development studio preferred).
- Demonstrable understanding of the unique challenges and talent landscape of the game development sector.
