HR Executive / Manager – Industrial Relations

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR – Industrial Relations (IR) professional to join our team in a manufacturing environment committed to sustainable practices (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining harmonious industrial relations, ensuring legal compliance, engaging with trade unions/workers, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture aligned with sustainability values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Relations Management
- Develop and maintain healthy industrial relations at the plant level.
- Act as the primary liaison between management and labour unions/trade unions.
- Handle disciplinary procedures, grievance redressal, and employee disputes effectively.
- Prevent and manage potential labour unrest through proactive communication and negotiation.
2. Compliance and Legal Affairs
- Ensure adherence to all labour laws and statutory requirements (Factories Act, ID Act, ESI, PF, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date labour law records and ensure timely submissions to authorities.
- Coordinate with legal consultants for labour-related issues and represent the company in labour court if necessary.
3. Union Negotiations & Settlements
- Lead collective bargaining and wage settlement negotiations.
- Draft long-term settlements, agreements, and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with unions.
- Conduct periodic engagement with worker representatives to maintain trust and transparency.
4. Policy Implementation & Documentation
- Assist in drafting and implementing HR policies related to IR, workplace conduct, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of disciplinary actions, warnings, investigations, and resolutions.
5. Workforce Engagement and Communication
- Promote a culture of open communication, feedback, and trust between workers and management.
- Organize worker education sessions around safety, sustainability, and the 3Rs philosophy.
- Facilitate employee welfare activities to improve morale and reduce attrition.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or Industrial Relations.
- 5+ years of experience in HR/IR in a manufacturing or recycling-focused industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and IR best practices.
- Experience in union handling and collective bargaining is essential.
