JOB SUMMARY

The HR Operations Analyst at Artisan Design Group plays a critical role in optimizing HR systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving data integrity across the enterprise. This position bridges HR Compliance and HRIS functions, combining technical expertise, analytical rigor, and business acumen to support operational excellence.

The HR Operations Analyst is responsible for governance of HR data, compliance risk management activities, system configuration and optimization, reporting strategy, and cross-functional collaboration This role ensures HR processes, systems, and data structures operate efficiently, remain compliant with applicable laws and enterprise standards, and support strategic business objectives.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted operational advisor, translating regulatory requirements and business needs into scalable HR technology solutions while proactively identifying process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors to support day-to-day HRIS inquiries, troubleshoot system issues, and maintain compliance-related processes.
  • Manage day-to-day HRIS operations, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, user support, and Paylocity issue tracking, auditing, and testing.
  • Translate system process and regulatory requirements into user-focused presentations, toolkits and job aids that are clear, practical and easy to apply.
  • Ensure HR systems, workflows, documentation, and data structures comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and enterprise policies.
  • Manage compliance program maintenance including legislative monitoring, employment verification, UI claims, ethics/compliance hotline administration, federal/state poster compliance and DOT program support.
  • Oversee HR data governance, including system configuration, integrations, reporting integrity and audit controls.
  • Compile and consolidate requests, decisions, data and related inputs from multiple sources to support data driven decisions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistent adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reporting to support regulatory requirements, and audits, including government survey submissions (BLS, MWR, OEWS, ABS)
  • Conduct data validation, audits, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity of HR information across systems.
  • Support implementation of system enhancements, integration and enterprise initiatives ensuring data integrity and though process documentation throughout.
  • Research emerging regulatory developments and HR technologies to proactively recommend enhancements to systems, governance practices and operational standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree OR related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with HR technology or people analyst experience.
  • Experience with HRIS tools including Performance Management, Learning Management, Applicant Tracking, Compensation Planning, etc. including working knowledge of system development and vendor integrations.
  • Experience in Excel report writing, including pivot tables, XLOOKUPs and data analysis functions.
  • Strong ability for critical thinking and conveying complex situations into easily digestible communications to the target audience.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Adaptability and comfort in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Collaborative spirit, enjoys cross-functional work and building strong relationships.
