The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for an HR Receptionist (Part-time) to join our team. The HR Receptionist provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department. In addition, this role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to employees, applicants, and visitors, handling general administrative duties, maintaining personnel records, and supporting various HR functions. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, able to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.

Your role in action:

  • Greet and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and HR-related inquiries to appropriate HR personnel.
  • Respond to general questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews, meetings and coordinating activities that support HR programs, events, and projects.
  • Maintain and update employee files and HR databases accurately and securely.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and distribute HR communications as needed.
  • Manages human resource assignments and confidential material to meet performance goals within established deadlines and guidelines in a time-sensitive environment. May assist in compiling and analyzing data, making calculations, and preparing reports.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, document creation, report generation, and distributes correspondence, reports, and documents.
  • Support Payroll, compensation, and benefits activities as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies; place orders and restock materials as needed to support daily operations.
  • Perform other related administrative tasks or special projects assigned by the HR team.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Associate degree or HR certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 2 years of administrative or receptionist experience required. Experience in a Human Resources, medical, or
    corporate setting preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.
  • Some web-based HR software preferred.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
