The HR Recruiter will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment for various technical and non-technical positions within the steel manufacturing setup. The role requires strong sourcing skills, knowledge of blue-collar & white-collar hiring, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition
- Handle end-to-end recruitment—from understanding manpower requirements to onboarding.
- Source candidates through job portals (Naukri, Indeed, apnajobs, workIndia), LinkedIn, references, consultants, and local networks.
- Recruit for key steel-industry roles such as: Production, Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, Shift Supervisors, Safety Officers, Quality, Logistics, Stores, and Plant HR/Admin roles.
- Manage mass/bulk hiring for operators, technicians, and contract manpower.
2. Screening & Selection
- Conduct initial screening of resumes and telephonic interviews.
- Coordinate technical interviews with department heads.
- Schedule written tests, trade tests, and practical assessments as required for plant roles.
- Evaluate candidate fitment based on skills, experience, and plant conditions.
3. Recruitment Operations
- Maintain candidate database and recruitment trackers.
- Prepare JD, post job advertisements, and maintain recruitment MIS.
- Follow recruitment timelines and ensure minimal turnaround time (TAT).
- Salary negotiation and rolling out offers in coordination with HR Manager.
4. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with plant HR, production, maintenance, and other department heads to understand hiring needs.
- Coordinate with external manpower contractors and HR consultants.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Collect and verify documents for selected candidates.
- Support in joining formalities and induction for new employees.
- Ensure hiring compliance as per factory requirements.
Key Skills Required
- Good understanding of steel/manufacturing industry roles.

- Experience in bulk/blue-collar hiring.
- Knowledge of recruitment portals and ATS tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or MBA/PGDM in HR.
- 1–5 years of recruitment experience (preferably in steel/ manufacturing/ heavy engineering industries
