Head Injury Association is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Human Resources Recruiter to join our team. The HR Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, screen, and hire qualified candidates in support of our mission. This role partners closely with leadership to identify staffing needs and ensure timely placement of high-quality talent across the agency.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition through hire
  • Partner with leadership to assess hiring needs and workforce planning
  • Develop, update, and maintain accurate job descriptions
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post positions on appropriate job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, and other sourcing platforms)
  • Source candidates using databases, job boards, networking, and community outreach
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
  • Conduct interviews using structured and behavioral interviewing techniques
  • Evaluate candidates’ knowledge, skills, experience, and cultural alignment
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding for new hires
  • Maintain and update vacancy rosters and recruitment tracking systems
  • Attend job fairs and community recruitment events
  • Monitor and implement HR recruiting best practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma required
  • Previous recruitment experience, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting
  • Experience conducting interviews and candidate evaluations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Salary: $45,000 - 50,000 annually

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
