Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy HR & Recruiting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide crucial support in the day-to-day HR and recruitment operations—from background checks and onboarding to data entry and system management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruiting and onboarding process for Special Education teachers.
  • Run and track background checks and clearances.
  • Prepare and send out contracts, handle compliance paperwork, and schedule orientations.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of all documentation.
  • Upload and organize current employees in our new Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Perform high-volume data entry with speed and accuracy.
  • Communicate quickly and professionally with staff and candidates.
  • Provide general HR administrative support as needed.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline the hiring process.
  • Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company culture.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and assist with employee evaluations and performance management.
  • Provide support in employee relations matters, addressing inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Assist in the preparation of employment contracts and onboarding paperwork.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in human resources or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in technical recruiting or executive recruiting are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong research skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $37,500.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
