Position:
HR Staff Operations Support - Grants, Office of Human Resources, Casual Position
Job Purpose:
Responsible for executing HR operations related to grants’ staff with accuracy and compliance in line with The American University in Cairo (AUC) policies. It processes compensation and benefits actions, staff movements, and separations, maintains accurate employee data in SAP, and supports reporting and process improvements to ensure efficient HR operations.
Core Responsibilities:

Staff Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries across multiple channels, in-person, phone, email, front office

HR Operations: Process daily staff affairs and compensation actions, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, leaves, appointments, and adjustments, ensuring strict compliance with university policies

Benefits Management: Execute and monitor all employee benefit programs for example: pension, health or life insurance, and school loans, maintaining alignment with university policy.

HR Documentation: Ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of staff operations documentation in accordance with AUC policies

HR Systems Management: Maintain and update staff data accurately in the SAP and Success Factors

Policy Communication: Communicate HR policies, benefits, and procedures clearly and professionally to university members

Payroll Support: Process overtime documents ensuring compliance with HR policies

Employee Records: Maintain proper filing and archiving of employee records based on employment status

Reporting and Analysis: Generate periodic HR reports and provide relevant data analyses as needed

Process Improvement: Contribute to evaluating and improving HR operational workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery

General Administrative Support: Perform other administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Required

HR Diploma is an asset.

Seven to nine years of previous experience including three years related experience in HR
-
Experience in a university or large institution is preferred
Skills:

Language and System Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Arabic languages. Proficient with MS Office for example: Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Experience working with known Human Capital Systems, SAP preferred and Success Factors

Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of labor law requirements, social insurance, and sanctions procedures

Core Attributes: Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy. Possesses initiative thinking, a customer service orientation, and strong analytical skills

Interpersonal and Communication: Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain excellent teamwork spirit

Organizational Management: Ability to organize and prioritize workflow. Proven ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within deadlines

Judgment and Ethics: Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion with different groups and maintain confidentiality
