Part-Time Recruiter & HR Generalist (Hybrid)

Kuhlman Electric is a family-owned, fast-growing residential electrical company with 55 amazing employees. We are looking for a Part-Time Recruiter & HR Generalist who is a self-starter, thinks two steps ahead, and knows how to find top talent.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • The Talent Scout: Your primary mission is to be our lead recruiter. You’ll proactively scout and build a "bench" of high-quality Journeymen and Apprentices to keep our growth on track.
  • The Manager’s Coach (with Backing): You’ll be the professional advisor for our management team. You aren't doing this alone—you’ll have the full backing of our PEO (Insperity) for expert job coaching, specialized HR expertise, and high-level support.
  • Compliance Oversight: You will ensure Kuhlman stays 100% compliant with labor laws, FMLA, and trade licensing requirements.
  • Administrative Support: Managing the internal people-operations and paperwork that keeps our team running smoothly.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Recruiting Expertise: 2–4+ years in a dedicated Recruiting or HR role. Experience in the Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing) or Industrial/Manufacturing is a huge plus.
  • Professional Presence: The confidence to lead internal investigations and disciplinary meetings with professionalism and neutrality.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively with our PEO partners to implement best practices.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

The Details

  • Schedule: 20 hours per week. We are happy to offer a flexible schedule for the right person.
  • Location: Hybrid. Based out of our Danvers, MA office with the ability to work remotely for a portion of the week.
  • Compensation: $24.00 – $36.00 per hour, depending on specific HR and Trades recruiting experience.
  • Note: As this is a 20-hour position, it is not eligible for company-sponsored health benefits.
