Position Summary
The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all functions related to workforce development, recruitment, retention, employee relations, and personnel compliance. This role also ensures that the facility’s medical billing processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with all applicable state and federal regulations. Serving as the facility’s Compliance Officer, the Human Resources Director assists the CEO by identifying and addressing risk, compliance, and regulatory issues impacting facility operations. The Human Resources Director plays a key leadership role in enforcing attendance policies, advising department leaders on disciplinary actions, administering employee benefits, and supporting organizational goals through effective human capital management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
- Coordinate all recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts to ensure staff meet required qualifications and competencies for their positions.
- Maintain personnel files, credentialing records, and training documentation in accordance with state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
- Enforce facility policies related to attendance, performance, and conduct, and provide guidance to department leaders regarding corrective and disciplinary actions.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Serve as the facility’s Compliance Officer, overseeing adherence to all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities.
- Identify areas of regulatory risk and collaborate with leadership to develop corrective action plans.
- Assist the CEO with ongoing compliance monitoring and regulatory preparedness activities.
Employee Relations and Benefits Administration
- Act as an advocate for employees by explaining benefit programs and assisting with enrollment, changes, and navigation of available benefits.
- Ensure all employment practices comply with applicable employment laws, including EEOC, ADA, and related regulations.
- Work closely with the Worker’s Compensation provider to process claims and support employees through return-to-work transitions.
Leadership and Organizational Support
- Function as an active member of the leadership team, working closely with the CEO and senior management in the development and implementation of the facility’s Strategic Plan.
- Provide regular reporting and consultation to the CEO regarding workforce trends, compliance matters, and administrative operations.
Training and Crisis Preparedness
- Ensure completion of all required training necessary to maintain compliance and competency.
- Complete theory, de-escalation, and standing portions of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience
- Experience in Human Resources preferred

- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to sit and perform duties at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Professional and Technical Skills
- Possesses sufficient writing, verbal, and reading skills to fulfill documentation and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrates excellent computer skills, including the ability to generate billing, collections, and administrative reports for the CEO.
- Works cooperatively with other disciplines to ensure the facility operates efficiently and in alignment with its mission, vision, and values.
Professional Conduct and Compliance
- Completes all assigned training requirements to meet minimum job standards and maintain competency.
- Completes theory, de-escalation, and standing portions of Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training.
- Works ethically and with integrity, upholding facility values in demeanor and behavior.

Pay: $54,549.33 - $70,000.00 per year
