Position Summary:
The HRIS Manager at Empower Pharmacy serves as the architect and leader of HR technology solutions that power a rapidly growing organization. This role is accountable for the strategy, governance, and optimization of HR systems to ensure accuracy, scalability, and seamless integration across the employee lifecycle. By delivering innovative solutions, maintaining data integrity, and leveraging AI-driven tools for automation and predictive insights, the Manager, HRIS enables leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions that accelerate growth and strengthen compliance. Acting as a bridge between HR, IT, and business leaders, this role drives continuous improvement, enhances the employee experience, and ensures HR technology is a catalyst for organizational success. Through operational excellence and strategic leadership, the Manager, HRIS directly contributes to Empower Pharmacy’s mission of expanding access to quality, affordable medication while creating a workplace where employees feel supported, connected, and empowered to thrive.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads the overall strategy, administration, and optimization of HRIS platforms, ensuring systems deliver accuracy, scalability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Oversees data governance and integrity across HR processes by implementing audits, compliance controls, and standardized workflows that safeguard accuracy, confidentiality, and security.
  • Leverages AI-enabled tools and technologies to automate processes, generate predictive insights, and enhance reporting capabilities that inform strategic workforce planning.
  • Collaborates with HR, IT, payroll, benefits, equity administration, and business leaders to identify technology needs, evaluate system capabilities, and implement enhancements that improve efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Develops, manages, and delivers HR dashboards, analytics, and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to HR leadership and executive teams.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with HRIS vendors and consultants, negotiating contracts, managing service delivery, and ensuring technology solutions meet organizational requirements.
  • Designs, documents, and communicates HRIS processes and standard operating procedures that ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability as Empower grows.
  • Provides training, resources, and consultation to HR staff and managers to increase adoption, build capability, and maximize return on technology and AI investments.
  • Manages HRIS-related projects, including upgrades, integrations, and implementations, ensuring project plans are executed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Identifies emerging HR technology and AI trends and recommends innovative solutions that enhance HR’s ability to support business growth and workforce engagement.
  • Partners with compliance, legal, and finance teams to ensure HR technology and reporting practices meet all regulatory, privacy, equity, and security requirements.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Other abilities required by this job include close vision.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior leaders, and partner with IT, Finance, and business leaders to align technology with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS platforms, reporting, data analytics, and system configuration with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale workflows.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, equity administration platforms (such as OptionTrax), and data privacy standards, with the ability to design systems and reporting that safeguard accuracy and compliance.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, HR technology management, or HR operations with increasing responsibility.
  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, information systems, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Professional in Human Resources (PHR); Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP); HRIP (Human Resource Information Professional); Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
