Job Title: HR/Payroll & Accounting Specialist (Part-Time)

Hours: 20–30 hours per week
Compensation: $31–$35 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR/Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable handling confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including tracking hours, overtime, and deductions.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, employee documentation, and benefits coordination.
  • Assist with responding to employee payroll or HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate and maintain payroll, HR, and accounting reports as needed.
  • Support accounting functions, including cash management, account reconciliations, and general ledger (GL) entries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, payroll regulations, and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of payroll and HR experience (preferred).
  • Some accounting experience a plus (cash management, account reconciliations, GL entries).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • High level of discretion; must maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, HR, and payroll data.
