HSE / Compliance Officer

Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a qualified HSE / Compliance Officer to manage internal audits and compliance processes for certifications such as ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GRS (Global Recycled Standard). The candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental policies at our manufacturing facility. Experience in the plastic industry is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Certifications:

• Lead internal and external audits related to ISO 45001, 14001, 9001, and GRS.
• Prepare and maintain documentation required for certification and surveillance audits.
• Develop SOPs and QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) manuals.
• Coordinate with third-party auditors and certification bodies.
• Monitor compliance registers and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
• Oversee GRS Chain of Custody and traceability documentation for recycled materials.

Health & Safety:

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Develop and implement risk assessments, PPE protocols, and emergency response plans.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with national health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide training and safety inductions to all staff and contractors.
• Maintain safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, signage, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in HSE or Compliance roles (manufacturing/industrial preferred).
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GRS compliance systems.
• Strong command of regulatory requirements and audit processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, documentation, and training skills.

Note: Experience in the plastic industry is not required. Candidates from textile, food, packaging, or other manufacturing sectors are welcome to apply.
