Job Title: HSE Engineer

Job Summary: The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

What you will do?

• Ensure compliance with Qatari laws, regulations, and international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Implement company HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Liaise with government bodies such as the Ministry of Labour and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (if applicable).
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification at work sites.
• Perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
• Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and maintain records.
• Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and site workers.
• Promote HSE awareness and a safety-first culture within the organization.
• Develop HSE training materials and organize toolbox talks.
• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.

What you will Need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental) or related fields.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
• Additional HSE certifications (e.g., IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems and standards.
• Familiarity with Qatari and international safety regulations.
• Proficiency in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
• Ability to develop and implement HSE programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Previous experience in Qatar or GCC is an advantage.
