The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures within the theme park, covering both operational periods and off-season activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits of park facilities, rides, attractions, and operational areas during both operational and off-season periods to identify hazards and assess risks.
- Oversee and manage incident reporting and investigation, including root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all park employees and contractors, covering topics such as emergency procedures, hazard communication, and safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local ordinances and national regulations related to health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Manage and coordinate emergency response plans, including fire safety, medical emergencies, and natural disasters, and conduct regular drills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a dedicated HSE role, preferably within a theme park, hospitality, large-scale entertainment venue, or a similar industry with significant public interaction and diverse operations.
- Strong understanding of local and national HSE regulations and standards applicable to theme parks, entertainment venues, or similar large-scale operations.
- Internationally recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly preferred.
- Crisis management and emergency response skills.
- Has a valid ID and can process a secondment permit.
- Amenable to work in Lusail on shifting schedules.
