HSE Engineer

Job Summary:

The QC HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and health, safety, and environmental standards are implemented and maintained at the project or facility site. This role supports compliance with both client and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Control (QC):

• Develop and implement quality inspection procedures and test plans.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation (e.g., ITPs, checklists, NCRs, QA/QC reports).
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure material and workmanship compliance.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Liaise with third-party inspectors or clients as required.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Monitor and enforce safety practices at the site in compliance with HSE policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Support incident/accident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of site-specific HSE plans.
• Maintain documentation such as MSDS, HSE records, and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
• Certification in Quality (e.g., ISO 9001, ASQ, or equivalent).
• Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and HSE standards, codes, and regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
