Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and other international HSE standards.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to diverse working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to eliminate or minimize unsafe conditions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Qatari labor laws, HSE regulations, and client requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and reports required by management and regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with government bodies, external auditors, and clients on health and safety matters.
- Support project teams with safety input during planning, execution, and completion stages.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization.
