Location: Qatar

Salary: QAR 14,000 – 16,000 (All-Inclusive Package, based on qualifications, experience, and skills)

Contract Duration: 24 Months (Extendable)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our client a multinational engineering companies Oil & Gas project team in Qatar. The role involves detailed engineering for both greenfield and brownfield projects, with a strong focus on offshore facilities and modifications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in technical safety engineering, leadership in supervising teams, and in-depth knowledge of international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact and coordinate with Lead Engineers, Job Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare HSE drawings, specifications, design basis documents, technical philosophies, and reports.
• Deliver engineered calculations, drawings, and documents related to Technical HSE & Loss Prevention.
• Support the Lead in conducting safety studies and workshops.
• Review and ensure technical accuracy of design deliverables, including:
• HAC Layouts
• F&G Layouts
• F&G Cause & Effect Matrix
• HSE Philosophies
• MTOs and other project deliverables
• Prepare and review procurement-related documents such as material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor drawing reviews.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project objectives, quality standards, and international codes (Shell DEP, NFPA, API).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in detailed engineering for oil & gas facilities (onshore & offshore).
• At least 5 years’ experience in detailed design engineering of brownfield modifications to offshore oil & gas and wellhead platforms.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Fully conversant with international standards such as Shell DEP, NFPA, and API.
