We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. <Duties>
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and root cause analysis to identify hazards and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, document findings thoroughly, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project scheduling for safety-related upgrades or modifications within manufacturing processes.
- Review and interpret schematics, CAD drawings (including AutoCAD), and industrial equipment manuals to ensure safety compliance during design and installation phases.
- Support process engineering initiatives by integrating lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies into safety practices.
- Provide training sessions for employees on safe operating procedures, proper use of robotics, CNC programming safety protocols, welding standards, and other technical aspects of manufacturing.
- Monitor environmental impact through vision inspection systems, industrial equipment assessments, and factory inspections to uphold sustainability goals.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other relevant regulations by maintaining accurate documentation of safety records and conducting regular safety meetings.
- Assist in the development of factory layouts using SolidWorks or Creo to optimize workflow while maintaining safety standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams on the fabrication of tooling or fixtures that meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for safe assembly line operations.
- Support the implementation of robotics automation projects by ensuring compliance with safety protocols related to robot programming and industrial automation systems.
<Requirements>
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering or related field; advanced certifications in health & safety are a plus.
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with exposure to plastics injection molding, fabrication, assembly lines, or similar industrial settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for schematic review and design purposes.
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment including CNC machines, vision inspection systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming tools, and CNC programming is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of robotics programming and welding standards applicable in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured methodologies; skilled in process engineering concepts for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and environmental standards relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
