Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Safety Engineer (HSE Engineer) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project sites, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, company standards, and international HSE practices
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA)
• Carry out site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and corrective action plans
• Provide HSE training and safety inductions to staff and subcontractors
• Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and management to maintain safe work practices
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment and machinery
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, permits, and records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Valid and relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH IGC is mandatory; IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Safety Engineer / HSE Engineer
• Strong knowledge of HSE laws, standards, and best practices
• Experience in construction, power, generator, oil & gas, or industrial projects is an advantage
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Immediate joiners are strongly preferred
