HSE Incharge / Team Leader / Advisor ( Oil & Gas experience required)

ABIS is looking for an experienced HSE Incharge / Team Leader / Advisor with a strong background in Oil & Gas to lead Shutdown / Turnaround activity and oversee health, safety, and environmental programs on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role involves leading a team of HSE professionals, conducting risk assessments, organizing training sessions, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Shutdown / turnaround , Projects for the HSE team to ensure effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Develop and enforce HSE procedures and compliance with local and international regulations relevant to the oil and gas industry.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
• Promote a safety culture encouraging employee participation and continuous improvement.
• Advise management on HSE matters and support emergency response preparedness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
• Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
