A leading drilling and energy services company operating in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced HSE Managerto oversee multiple offshore jack-up rigs. The position plays a critical role in implementing the companys HSE management systems, driving a proactive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the HSE performance and compliance of approximately five offshore jack-up rigs, ensuring alignment with corporate HSE objectives and operational goals.
- Lead and supervise a team of HSE Specialists (rotational basis) and indirectly manage Rig Safety Coaches reporting to Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs).
- Implement and sustain the companys Safety Management System and foster a strong safety culture within operations.
- Manage and prepare for internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits. Lead root cause analyses, develop corrective action plans, and track implementation.
- Act as the primary interface with clients (notably large oil & gas operators) for all HSE-related matters, representing the company in client safety and operational meetings.
- Drive incident investigation processes, ensuring timely, high-quality reports and corrective actions that address root causes.
- Support and participate in the emergency response framework, including rig-level, operational, and corporate-level emergencies.
- Monitor and report HSE KPIs, focusing on incident reduction, audit findings, and proactive safety engagement.
- Champion change management and continuous improvement across all HSE processes and behaviors.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years experiencein HSE management, with significant exposure to offshore drilling operations or oilfield services.
- Proven experience in leadershipand managing multidisciplinary HSE teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, client-driven audits, and incident management systems.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building trust with both internal teams and demanding clients.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and drive change within operational teams.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
