HSE MANAGER

Core Responsibilities

· Policy & Strategy: Develop and implement integrated HSE management systems tailored to specific construction projects.

· Site Inspections: Conduct daily or periodic site audits to identify hazards related to machinery, tools, and work at heights.

· Compliance Management: Ensure 100% adherence to local, national, and international safety legislation and standards.

· Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause investigations following accidents or near-misses, and develop preventive strategies.

· Training & Onboarding: Deliver continuous safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills for staff and subcontractors.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health and Safety.

· Certifications: Mandatory possession of certifications like NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate), IOSH, or OSHA. CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is also highly preferred.

· Experience: Usually 5 to 10+ years of progressive, hands-on health and safety experience directly in the construction or contracting industry.

QUALITY MANAGER

Core Responsibilities

· Quality Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans.

· Inspections and Testing: Execute the three-phase inspection process (preparatory, initial, and follow-up) for materials, soil compaction, concrete testing, and structural integrity.

· Compliance Management: Ensure all workmanship meets international engineering standards and contractual obligations.

· Documentation and Reporting: Track submittals, write technical reports, and maintain verified documentation for all quality records, test reports, and corrective actions.

· Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, architects, and external third-party testing agencies. Oversee subcontractor compliance and address non-conformances.

· Site Audits: Conduct regular site safety and quality visits, enforcing the continual improvement of quality systems.

Key Qualifications

· Education: B.Sc. or B.E. in Civil Engineering (or a related construction/engineering degree).

· Experience: 7+ years of dedicated site-based QA/QC experience, with a proven track record in management or supervisory roles.

· Certifications: Certifications in Quality Control or Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 compliance) are highly preferred.

· Technical Knowledge: Strong command of industry regulations and international codes (ASTM, ACI, BS, etc.).

· Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, clear documentation skills, and conflict resolution capabilities.
