- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international HSE laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Prepare and implement HSE plans, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct HSE induction, awareness, and refresher training for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Carry out regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification exercises.
- Perform risk assessments and develop job safety analyses (JSA) and method statements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and suggest corrective actions.
- Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, emissions, and chemical handling.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of PPE and other safety equipment on site.
- Maintain all HSE documentation and prepare monthly safety performance reports.
- Liaise with project management and regulatory bodies regarding safety concerns.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years HSE experience in construction or oil & gas environments.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or OSHA 30-Hour are mandatory.
- Familiarity with international HSE standards and practices.
- Strong knowledge of construction/oil & gas work processes, equipment, and site hazards.
