Job Purpose:

To ensure the effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations at the workplace, aiming to maintain a safe and compliant working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance & Monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and risk assessments.
  • Incident Prevention & Investigation
  • Monitor and enforce safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Training & Awareness
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness programs for workers and supervisors.
  • Maintain records of HSE training and certifications for all staff.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation such as HSE plans, risk assessments (RA), method statements (MS), and safety checklists.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports to management and clients as required.
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Ensure availability and readiness of emergency response plans, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
  • Conduct periodic emergency drills and evaluate the effectiveness of response procedures.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors on safety-related matters.
  • Liaise with clients and consultants regarding HSE compliance and audit requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related field.
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification (mandatory or preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE (preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects).
  • Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and recommend practical solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
