Job Overview

The HSE Officer ensures full compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations across the Group’s properties, facilities, labor camps, and operational sites. The role protects the safety of employees, residents, contractors, and visitors by enforcing HSE standards, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and supporting continuous improvement of safety performance.

This role integrates with Facilities Management, Property Management, Security, and Corporate Support, ensuring a consistent safety culture across all company operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, camps, common areas, mechanical rooms, and high-risk zones.
  • Ensure full compliance with Civil Defense, Sharjah Municipality, Dubai Municipality, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Lead emergency response planning: fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid readiness.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate controls.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare root-cause reports.
  • Monitor contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to HSE guidelines while on site.
  • Ensure proper functioning and documentation of firefighting systems, alarms, emergency lighting, and safety equipment.
  • Maintain safety logs, inspection records, legal compliance documents, and audit files.
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and site teams.
  • Support ISO 45001 / 14001 compliance and contribute to audit preparations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED8,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • HSE experience in the UAE: 3 years (Required)
  • Competent in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.: 3 years (Required)
  • Ability to enforce compliance firmly and professionally.: 3 years (Required)

Language:

  • English (Required)
  • Arabic (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • NEBOSH IGC (Required)
  • UAE Fire & Life Safety Code (Required)
  • Municipality regulations, and Civil Defense requirements (Required)

Location:

  • Sharjah (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)
