Joseph General Maintenance is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to join our team. This role is essential for promoting a safe and healthy work environment across our production facility and on-site projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues, especially in production and fit-out environments.
• Plan and conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Perform site inspections and safety audits to ensure adherence to all HSE guidelines, addressing any non-compliance issues with corrective action plans.
• Manage incident and accident reporting, conducting thorough investigations to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including emergency response plans, safety reports, and compliance records.
• Promote a safety-first culture by working closely with the production and project teams to maintain a secure work environment.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities for permit approvals and safety inspections, ensuring all activities comply with local and international safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in an HSE role, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or glass production industries.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard control, incident investigation, and HSE compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead safety trainings and promote a positive safety culture.
• Detail-oriented and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement in workplace safety.
