Job Purpose:
To ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and maintaining effective Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and practices across all construction activities. The HSE Specialist plays a key role in hazard identification, accident prevention, training, and ensuring full compliance with the company’s HSE policies and legal requirements.
Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the identification of potential hazards in coordination with the supervision team within assigned areas.

Conduct regular, planned area inspections in collaboration with area representatives.

Ensure alignment with the company’s HSE policy by achieving set targets and implementing safety programs.

Deliver HSE induction and job-specific safety trainings.

Organize and lead periodic safety meetings at work locations.

Maintain effective communication with contractors and employees regarding safety matters.

Ensure that all employees, contractors, and visitors are aware of emergency procedures.

Prepare and submit a monthly HSE inspection report for each contractor, including follow-up on corrective actions.

Investigate on-site accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.

Maintain a full-time presence on-site to monitor and follow up on all safety-related activities.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture.

1–3 years of experience in the construction industry.

OSHA certification.
-
Certification in Scaffolding Inspection.

Strong knowledge of safe scaffolding practices, lifting operations, and permit-to-work systems.

Proven ability to organize and deliver HSE-specific training sessions.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Strong writing skills with the ability to contribute to the development of HSE programs and reports.

Skilled in preparing detailed audit reports, including necessary preventive and corrective measures.

Proficient in English.
