Supervise daily HSE activities on multiple construction sites to ensure compliance with safety policies and government regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend preventive actions.
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions to raise safety awareness among workers, subcontractors, and site visitors.
Monitor the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices at all times.
Collaborate closely with site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and workers to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction.
Ensure environmental compliance related to waste management, pollution prevention, and site cleanliness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, including incident logs, inspection reports, and training records.
Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and manage response actions during emergencies.
Support the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Report HSE performance metrics to senior management regularly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Certified in HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH.
Proven experience in construction site HSE supervision.
Strong understanding of local construction safety laws, standards, and best practices.
Ability to enforce safety regulations firmly yet diplomatically.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and train diverse teams.
Competence in preparing detailed reports and safety documentation.
