THE POSITION

The Department of Transportation Human Resource Office is looking for a human resource professional to assist in the management of employee relations activities for assigned organizations. This includes providing consultation on employee relations matters, processing grievances, performing investigations for disciplinary actions, conducting Labor Management meetings, and providing training on employee relations issues. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 3 supporting Central Office organizations, you will provide interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements for managers and supervisors; participate in and coordinate fact-finding investigations; and be responsible for investigating and recommending resolution of arrests, charges, and convictions of any employee or prospective employee in accordance with the Governor's Code of Conduct. In addition, you will present cases at Eastern or Western Joint Area and State Committees.

• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

• One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
