This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Digital Marketing startup company! The salary listed is accurate due to this is a start up company. This position will assist in building the Human Resource and Payroll Department from the ground up. The Human Resources and Payroll Generalist will work with the company’s senior management, legal and financial consultants to carry out the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) and Payroll department, which includes but is not limited to including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role will be responsible for assisting with a large volume of data entry and review related to team members' business processes. This position will monitor various HR inboxes and respond or escalate to the appropriate team, including Operations, Sales, Accounting, or Leadership. Duties & Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide employees with internal development opportunities.
· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required education, experience, and general skills
· High School Diploma is a MUST. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources is a PLUS.
· Minimum of three years of experience in a Human Resources role in a professional environment
· Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
· Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Teams
· Extensive experience with HRIS Systems; this environment uses Gusto
· Ability to see the big picture yet can work in a detailed and thorough manner
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Consistently delivers high-quality, timely work, resulting in highly satisfied customers.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

· Must possess excellent customer service, basic analytical and troubleshooting skills, planning, and organizational skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, particularly as it relates to working effectively with others and building successful relationships throughout the organization
· Excellent judgment and proven ability to analyze issues quickly & take appropriate action under limited time constraints
· Perseveres in locating necessary data quickly to support customer resolution
· Passion for learning
· Experience providing Human Resource skills in the Sales Industry
Work Schedule & Holidays
Monday – Friday (9AM EST – 6PM EST)

Pay Details – Non Negotiable
$30,000/year
