Position Summary: The HR Generalist will support various HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee training, and maintaining personnel records. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of handling multiple tasks, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and other required and compliance training. Conduct employment verification and background screenings.
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Miscellaneous tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)
· Minimum of 2 year of experience in HR or administrative support role.
· Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Workplace safety enforcement
· Knowledge of employment law
· Bilingual Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
