Primary Purpose of Role:
Are you in search of a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in Human Resources? Joining Allison Transmission as a Human Resources Summer Intern will immerse you in an innovative and dynamic setting, allowing you to gain experience within the manufacturing sector. Our hands-on internship provides the opportunity to partner closely with the HR team and gain experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Intern, you will:

Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.

Participate and support in formal and informal training opportunities

Support recruiting by posting job openings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and scheduling follow-ups

Assist with onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and supporting with orientation

Contribute to a variety of projects, supporting the Centers of Excellence (COE)

Network and learn about multiple functions (Corporate Functions and Manufacturing)

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field

Must be a rising Junior or Senior

Strong organizational and communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities proficiently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Basic understanding of HR principles and practices

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
