The Human Resources Administrator provides essential administrative support across various human resources functions, ensuring smooth daily operations for the HR department. Under general supervision, the Human Resources Administrator is responsible for providing hands-on proactive support, coordination, and facilitation of a variety of Human Resources related activities related to recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, handling HR documentation and supporting benefits administration and compliance tracking. The position will lend its skills to process improvement and consistency, data coordination, and team member engagement. In addition, the Human Resources Administrator assists in creating an exceptional experience for potential and current team members through professional, warm, and engaging interactions. The Human Resources Administrator will report to the Human Resources Manager/Team Leader.
Support department and team leader by performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing documents (physical and electronic), answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing Human Resources calendars
Review and post completed job requisitions and perform daily responsibilities in the Applicant Tracking System
Coordinate the administration of pre-employment assessments and testing
Assist in preparing reports out of the HRIS system when called upon to do so or proactively; distributing push reports accordingly
Maintain current tracking spreadsheets and update documents required in the recruiting process.
Handle multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail, excellent follow through, and confidentiality
Answer team member questions about benefits, assist with associated paperwork, and gather data for payroll processing as requested
Maintain accurate employee files, update HR databases, and manage HR-related documents
Exhibit foresight in recognizing potential problems, needs, and/or inefficiencies, and proactively develop and propose solutions
Carry a limited number of requisitions (5%-10%) to assist the Talent Acquisition Partners in meeting hiring needs and goals
Work closely with Human Resources team members to test new uses of the HRIS System to ensure preservation and accuracy of data and related processes
Receive/distribute departmental mail, physical and electronic
Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge
Maintain cohesive relationships with other departments and communicate requests to Human Resources team as necessary
Respond to candidates and team members’ requests for information as required
Maintain work area and perform tasks in a safe and sound manner
Display mutual respect, trust and dignity, act in the best interest of the credit union at all times
Ability to organize, prioritize and respond simultaneously to multiple tasks and requests
Ability to build rapport with team members and participate in a cohesive team environment
Ability to handle sensitive team member and candidate information with discretion and professionalism
Ability to solve problems and locate and correct errors
Ability to analyze information and recommend achievable process improvements
Ability to professionally interact with team members and team leaders at all times
Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer programs
High school diploma required. Two (2) year degree with emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with standard office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, Excel as well as Windows operating systems
Some travel maybe required to attend credit union training, career fairs, fulfill duties as assigned, and for career development as approved
