We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to our Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and compliance tracking. The HR Assistant will work closely with HR leadership to maintain accurate documentation, coordinate employee communications, and support company-wide initiatives while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including completion of new hire documentation and orientation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Upload and manage employee documents within Paychex or other HR systems.
- Track employee certifications, licenses, and mandatory training.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support payroll processing by gathering and verifying timekeeping data.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and benefits information.
- Respond to employee inquiries and direct complex matters to HR leadership as appropriate.
- Assist with coordination of company events, training sessions, and engagement activities.
- Prepare HR reports, letters, and memos as needed.
- Review company cameras for specific instances of violations and investigations.
- Manage HR correspondence and ensure timely follow-up.
- Update and maintain HR databases and project management tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (Paychex experience preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment and computers.
- Clear verbal and written communication required.
- Occasional lifting or moving of light objects (up to 20 pounds).
- Ability to maintain focus and attention in a busy office environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.51 per hour
