What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a Human Resources Assistant who is energized by helping others, values accuracy and collaboration, and enjoys being part of a team that truly cares. In this role, you’ll provide vital support across all areas of HR, from HR Operations to Talent Management and Total Rewards.

You’ll work closely with the Manager of Talent to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations, providing hands-on support in areas such as benefits administration, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role offers variety and impact; you’ll handle day-to-day details that keep our HR processes running seamlessly while contributing to projects that strengthen our culture and employee experience.

Job Highlights

General HR Support

  • Serves as a first point of contact for Human Resources Inquiries for employees, vendors, and business partners by responding to information requests and questions about HR-related topics, such as company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Provides first-level technical assistance for employees using HR software applications (LMS, HRIS)
  • May support documentation of compensation changes, benefits, and other HR-related items
  • Maintains labor law documentation and ensures all locations are up to date
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Completes employment verifications
  • Maintains the HR calendar - managing and coordinating schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events
  • Conducts research and prepares various HR reports
  • Completes projects assigned to support the goals and objectives of the Human Resources department


Talent Management

  • Schedules and organizes new employee orientation program and other employee training activities
  • Facilitates and delivers HR-related topics for the new employee orientation program
  • Supports the hiring process by posting job openings on various platforms, coordinating candidate interviews, preparing offer materials, and facilitating pre-hire onboarding activities, such as entering employee data in the HRIS system, conducting background checks, and ensuring all activities are completed.
  • Supports recruitment event preparation, schedules, and coordinates logistics for events.
  • Creates and maintains recruitment, performance management, and talent development reporting in HRIS
  • Supports the offboarding process by communicating information to employees and maintaining documentation regarding departures.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Maintains user management within the LMS
  • May upload, organize training materials, courses within the LMS
  • Monitors and reports on employee progress and completion of training programs

Qualification & What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field, with significant internship experience in Human Resources; or
  • Associate’s degree in Business or a related field, or a minimum of two (2) years of directly related full-time work experience, and at least two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative role.
  • HRCI aPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, or a desire to obtain certification.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrates a service-mindset and a passion for helping others.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the human resources function, including recruitment, talent development, employee relations, compensation, compliance, and benefits.
  • Demonstrates experience working with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) such as Paycom, Workday, Oracle, etc.
  • Demonstrates experience working in Microsoft Office 365 Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and group facilitation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative to accomplish tasks and work through challenges.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of information, demonstrating discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrates strong personal organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build effective collaborative relationships with employees, leaders, and external business partners with professionalism.
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
