Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various functions essential to organizational success. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a basic understanding of office operations, human resource initiatives and a working knowledge of HRIS systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in human resources management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration within a dynamic environment. This position will also be responsible for front desk reception duties.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests and answer the corporate phone, direct calls to appropriate party.
- Assist with talent acquisition processes to include recruiting, HR sourcing, and applicant tracking of all candidates.
- Responsible for conducting new hire orientation and initial training programs.
- Ensure that all new hire paperwork is made ready for orientation.
- Run background checks and schedule pre-hire drug screens.
- Assist in maintaining employee records.
- Responsible for company mail-outs.
- Typing job descriptions and creating forms on Canva, Word or other programs as needed.
- Will assist in daily human resource tasks to support the department to be completed within a timely manner.

Requirements
- Proven experience or familiarity with human resources management functions including talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of employment and labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and HR compliance standards helpful.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems such as ADP.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and must handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Administrative experience needed to support HR functions. - Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products; proficient in emailing, Excel, etc.
