We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Human Resources Assistant/Recruiter.
This position plays an important role in recruiting, onboarding and supporting our staff while helping to maintain a positive, warm, and respectful workplace culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs all aspects of recruiting, setting up interviews between managers and candidates, performing drug screens, hiring and orienting new employees on behalf of the facility, including but not limited to: placing ads in newspapers or online for the recruitment of new employees, ensuring new hires complete appropriate paperwork and are entered into the system and orienting new employees to facility.
- Ensures employees are compliant with TB screens/testing, background checks, in-service training, and licenses/certifications, etc.
- Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date employee files.
- Assists the HR Director with aspects of payroll on behalf of the facility, including but not limited to: disbursement of employee paychecks and ensuring all employee info is up to date and correct. Acts as a facilitator and third party on behalf of employees at facility.
- Assists the HR Director with benefits and work comp claims as needed for facility. Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Assists the HR Director with all aspects of Human Resources on behalf of the facility including but not limited to: employee performance issues, employee training, employee complaints and questions, etc.
- Clocks in/out appropriately and timely.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year HR/Recruiting experience
- College degree preferred.
- Good communication skills
- Must enjoy working with people
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability.
- Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision.
- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
