Role: HR Business Partner (Work Level 1 – Practical Judgement)


Overview of the Role

The Jr. HR Business Partner supports the execution of core HR processes, policies, and initiatives across the Automotive business. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, the role ensures effective people management, promotes employee engagement, and enables a compliant, performance-driven workplace. Reporting to the GM – HR, this position plays a key role in delivering HR operational excellence and supporting the business with hands-on, practical HR guidance.


What You Will Do

HR Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and consultation to managers and employees on performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, and HR policies.
  • Ensure full compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Prepare investigation reports, case summaries, and maintain all HR documentation accurately.


Workforce Planning & Nationalisation

  • Support the implementation of workforce strategies that ensure optimal staffing and alignment with business needs.
  • Contribute to achieving nationalisation targets (e.g., Emiratisation) through proactive planning and reporting.


Business Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with line managers to understand business priorities, financial drivers, and workforce requirements.
  • Support HR initiatives that enhance performance, productivity, and a culture of meritocracy and diversity.
  • Communicate HR plans, insights, and progress updates to business stakeholders.


Manpower Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in the annual manpower budgeting process across all stores and functions.
  • Consolidate HR reports at the Automotive corporate level including monthly IR reports, increment submissions, and HR case reviews.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure accuracy in HR-related financial inputs and P&L impacts.


People Strategy Enablement

Support execution of the four core talent pillars for both expats and nationals:

  • Attract – Assist in sourcing and hiring aligned with business needs.
  • Engage – Promote engagement initiatives and follow up on action plans.
  • Develop – Support capability development and performance discussions.
  • Retain – Assist in retention efforts and succession-related activities.


Job Context

This role operates at a corporate level, supporting multiple Automotive business units while ensuring consistent compliance, reporting accuracy, and effective HR governance. The Jr. HRBP is expected to handle sensitive information, maintain strict confidentiality, and act as a reliable point of coordination for HR-related decisions across the division.

  • Solid understanding of business operations, budget planning, and financial basics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage competing priorities
  • Analytical mindset with ability to work with data and HR metrics
  • Good planning, coordination, and change management capabilities


What Qualifies You for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR role
  • Experience in HR operations, manpower planning, and employee relations
  • Proven ability to support managers and work in fast-paced environments
