DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Business Partner forms productive working relationships with managers and employees in client departments. Primary functions include advising and coaching management on managing and leading their workforce and subordinate management, ensuring compliance with applicable law, contract and regulation, and ensuring implementation of organization-level HR strategies and plans consistently at the department level. Business Partner support takes a wide variety of forms including assistance with transactions, straightforward answers to questions, supplying new ideas, tactics, strategies, and approaches to managing staff, labor relations work, facilitating communication, or challenging managers to move to higher levels of leadership performance outside of the manager's comfort zone.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
-
5 years of experience in human resources administration at a professional level including employment law compliance, managing employee relations, working with leadership and employees on a variety of HR issues and performance management is required. Additional experience is preferred.

Experience in labor relations is preferred.

Education and Training:

A Bachelor's Degree is required. A bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field is preferred.

Master's Degree in business or a related field is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge of applicable employment and labor law and regulation sufficient to identify and mitigate risks is required.

Ability to assess group dynamics and communication styles, and to introduce techniques to improve the work environment is required.

Knowledge of HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, etc.) that enables the Business Partner to act as a liaison for management, answer and resolve simple issues, and guide managers and employees in obtaining HR services is required.

High emotional intelligence, a high degree of managerial courage, and a predisposition toward innovation and embracing change is required.
The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
