About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides strategic and tactical support to assigned business units by aligning HR solutions with organizational goals. The HRBP serves as a consultant to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including recruitment, performance development, coaching, employee relations and disciplinary intervention, policy interpretation, compensation, benefits, and compliance. The HRBP will consistently demonstrate a customer-service orientation to colleagues across all functions and job levels and alignment with company values, team collaboration and a positive attitude that helps people managers recognize the performance and see the potential of all associates.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners with business leaders to understand operational objectives. Collaborates closely with department heads to gain insight into short- and long-term business goals, workforce needs, and organizational priorities, ensuring HR strategies are aligned with overall operational direction.
  • Advises management on employment matters aligned with company policy, procedures and guidance from global HR function colleagues. Provides guidance to leaders on performance management, organizational structure, conflict resolution, and strategic HR decisions, helping maintain consistency, fairness, and legal compliance.
  • Supports recruiting and onboarding. Assists with identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, coordinating selection activities, and facilitating a smooth onboarding experience that integrates new hires into the organization effectively.
  • Conducts investigations and provides employee relations support. Leads or assists with fact-finding investigations, helping resolve workplace concerns, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting positive employee relations and workplace culture.
  • Interprets and communicates HR policies. Serves as a resource for policy-related questions, ensuring employees and leaders understand HR guidelines, processes, and expectations, and updates stakeholders when policies change.
  • Supports compensation and benefits administration. Collaborates with HR and finance teams to answer employee questions, assist with job evaluations, and ensure compensation and benefits programs are administered consistently and fairly.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws. Monitors HR practices to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, assists with audits, and mitigates risk by advising stakeholders on compliance requirements.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential records. Manages employee files, HRIS data, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to data retention guidelines.
  • Reviews HR metrics to identify trends. Analyzes workforce data such as turnover, engagement indicators, absenteeism, and recruitment metrics to identify patterns and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Participates in HR projects and continuous improvement. Contributes to initiatives such as process enhancements, policy updates, system rollouts, and culture-building programs to support organizational effectiveness and HR evolution.
  • Tackles other duties as may be assigned by the HR department’s Director, Senior Manager, Manager or Supervisor, and/or other people managers in other functions as approved by HR function leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational leadership/management, industrial relations, psychology or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive human resource management experience.
  • Employee relations experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Human Resource Information Systems.
  • Familiarity with Workday a plus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The incumbent typically works in an office environment as a primary work location at least four days per week. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work.

The base pay range for this position is $90,000- $110,000. GC America values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Family Forming benefits, Life & Disability Insurance, and Paid Time Off. GC America reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
