Human Resources Business Partner

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides a variety of HR and administrative support to ensure compliant, efficient, and professional operations; reporting directly to the Director of HR.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Administers a variety of HR duties including recruitment, onboarding, employee referrals, employee relations, benefits, personnel files and record keeping
  • Support payroll processing, timekeeping and attendance tracking and act as backup
  • Trusted resource to staff and management while ensuring compliance with CA and Federal employment laws
  • Provides employee benefits orientation and processes benefits enrollments
  • Maintains employee files, new hire materials, benefits packages, HR forms, etc.
  • Participates in open enrollment and benefit plan decisions
  • Prepares, processes, and distributes a wide variety of information, (forms, procedures, policies, etc.) some of which will be highly confidential and sensitive in nature

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES:

1. Associates or Bachelor’s degree (business, human resources, or similar area preferred)

2. 3+ years of increasingly responsible HR experience and prior payroll processing experience

3. Strong knowledge of California labor laws, wage and hour and compliance requirements, and company policies

4. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times; be calm, diplomatic, and approachable

5. Proven project management skills along with a high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite

6. Ability to set priorities, organize work and work in high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure and changing priorities

7. Attention to detail/accuracy, quick learner and motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills

8. Strong organization, written and oral communication, skills with the ability to effectively disseminate information to all levels of employees

9. Good problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges with consistent follow through

10. Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
