Overview
Join our dynamic organization as a Human Resources Business Partner, where you will oversee and execute all day-to-day HR activities for a small, for-profit Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) organization. This role requires a hands-on generalist with strong knowledge of federal and state laws, leading and directing the routine HR functions, to include, but not limited to talent acquisition (from recruitment strategy to onboarding), payroll/benefits/leave administration, employee relations, engagement and investigation, training & development, policy creation, performance management & implementation, and supporting organizational growth through effective people management, compliance, and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution and documentation
- Foster a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and performance management processes
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations in accordance with company policy.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook, conducting internal audits for compliance and risk mitigation
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
- Provides support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Develop recruitment strategies to support clinical and operational growth to include establishing community, university and miscellaneous partnerships for community outreach and engagement events for recruitment, relationship building and networking
- Manages the full-cycle talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
- Collaborates with Site Leadership to understand and execute Conduct Curb’s talent strategy, in regard to current & future talent needs, recruiting, retention, succession & workforce planning, skills and competencies required for openings.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, retirement, and leave policies
- Act as liaison with payroll and benefits vendors
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Update Performance Management Process, oversee process and incorporate with the training & development for cross training and succession planning.
Training & Development
- Design and implement training programs for staff development, compliance, and leadership growth
- Support onboarding and ongoing professional development initiatives
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Ensure staff training aligns with agency accreditations service standards and organizational goals.
Organizational Support
- Execute all day-to-day HR activities
- Maintain and report on HR KPIs
- Partner with executive leadership/VP of HR to align HR strategy with business objectives
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare or ABA settings
- Demonstrated progressive experience as a true HR Generalist:
- Payroll administration
- Employee relations and conflict resolution
- Benefits management
- Policy development and implementation
- Training and development programs
- Talent acquisition and recruitment
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and labor regulations
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Strategic thinking with operational execution capability
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a small, for-profit organization
- Familiarity with ABA service environments or healthcare operations
- Experience scaling HR infrastructure in a growing organization

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
