Job Summary

As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, focusing on fostering a positive employee experience, nurturing a strong organizational culture, and driving organizational success through effective HR practices and initiatives related to orientation, training, talent management, employee relations, performance management and employee engagement.

Essential Functions

HR Partnership:
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with leaders and employees across the business to provide responsive HR support. and ensure
  • Act as a trusted HR partner using strong business insight and HR expertise to advise on a variety of matters (including onboarding, engagement and retention, performance management, HR policy and practices, and employee relations).
  • Serve as a liaison between leaders and HR functions (talent acquisition, training, compensation, etc.), working closely with the HR team to ensure alignment, integration, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives.
Operations Support:
  • Support employee engagement strategies tailored to hourly production employees to enhance retention, wellbeing, and creates a sense of belonging.
  • Provide HR support for shift-based operations.
  • Lead and support investigations related to performance, quality, or behavioral issues on the production floor.
  • Support and help drive a strong safety culture by partnering with EHS and operations teams on Safety Absolutes, corrective actions, and employee accountability.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure consistent application of policies, disciplinary actions, and progressive discipline processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • Maintain a regular, visible presence on the production floor to proactively engage with employees and address concerns.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
  • Support employee engagement activities and programs to strengthen culture and retention.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure that company values and goals are reflected in all HR initiatives.
  • Plan and support employee recognition programs, events, and activities to promote a sense of belonging and appreciation.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction levels and proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
Orientation and Onboarding:
  • Assist with orientation and onboarding programs for new hires to facilitate their integration into the organization.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure that new employees receive the necessary training and resources to succeed in their roles.
Training and Development:
  • Assess training needs within the organization and assist in developing training programs to address skill gaps and support career development.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops in partnership with HR and leadership.
  • Support employees and leaders with training logistics and resources.
  • Assist with tracking participation and collecting feedback to measure training effectiveness.
Talent Management:
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and talent acquisition team on recruitment efforts and selection activities.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, interviewing, and candidate assessment.
  • Provide support for succession planning and career pathing activities.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
  • Serve as partner to leaders and employees on issues related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Provide guidance and support in handling employee disciplinary actions, grievances, and other sensitive matters.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees and managers to support continuous improvement and goal attainment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5-10+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role, with expertise in employee engagement, culture development, orientation, training, talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule and provide support across all shifts to address urgent employee or operational needs, special events, or other business requirements in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English effectively

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and regulations, as well as HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing day-to-day HR operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Physical Work Conditions

This position works primarily at a desk, utilizing basic office equipment. Occasional testing and troubleshooting may be performed on the factory floor.


The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The posted range represents the expected earning potential for this position within the current organizational budget and market conditions
