Position Summary:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Paramount Global Surfaces is a strategic advisor and hands-on HR professional responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives while managing critical HR operations for our Miami location. This role combines strategic planning with operational execution, including employee relations, performance management, payroll and benefits oversight and compliance. The HRBP acts as a trusted consultant to leadership, ensuring HR initiatives align with operational initiatives and drive organizational success while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Core Responsibilities:

Employee Life Cycle Support

  • Approve offer letters, confirming SCF and compensation approvals via email.
  • Create offer letters requested by management.
  • Lead and conduct new hire orientation for Happy Floors and Stone Source employees.
  • Deliver best in class support and correspondence for candidates leading up to first day, ensuring they are prepared and feeling welcome to join the team and serving as conduit between new employee and hiring manager to ensure preparedness.
  • Handle employee relations for HF & SS teams.

Business Partnership

  • Consult with both line management and executive team, providing daily HR guidance on employee matters within their teams (i.e progressive discipline, coach and counseling, offboarding/onboarding, talent management).
  • Provide onsite support for routine administrative tasks related to talent management such as conducting employee investigations
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including HRIS, employee surveys, exit interviews, competitor's practices and partners with the VP of HR to identify and analyze KPIs that inform PGS's people strategy, programs, initiatives and policies

Comp and Benefits Management

  • Assist payroll team, providing on time and necessary adjustments for each payroll cycle for business unit.
  • Provide on-site support for benefits team to address day-to-day employee benefit questions, facilitate enrollments, and wellness initiatives.
  • Spearhead collaboration between management, safety, and benefits teams for full cycle workers’ compensation investigations and risk mitigation.

Additional Strategic Duties:

  • Partner with leadership to design and implement change management strategies.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and culture transformation projects.
  • Identify training needs and monitor learning programs to ensure success.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning and high-potential talent development.
  • Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and best practices.
Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive, full-cycle human resource management.
  • Manufacturing, shop, warehousing, industrial HR experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR/business acumen, and benefits/leave management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Excel, and payroll platforms; Paylocity experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating them when appropriate

Preferred Certifications:

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR
