Job Summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Human Resources Clerk who supports the effective operation of all functions and processes within the Human Resources Department. This role ensures the HR department maintains accurate employee records, schedules interviews, and assists with the hiring process. The Human Resources Clerk provides reliable backup to HR staff and consistently demonstrates courteous, compassionate, polite, friendly, and respectful behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, helping all feel welcome and respected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Human Resources support role.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources
  • Strong understanding of Arizona labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and best practices in workforce management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner while answering incoming telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Skill in maintaining up-to-date employee files.
  • Ability to maintain the bidding log, provide weekly reports, and process status changes accurately and timely.
  • Strong follow-up skills with employees on leave.
  • Ability to order and maintain office supplies in a timely and organized manner.
  • Experience in maintaining an applicant referral program.
  • Ability to research and provide written tabulations of data and special projects as requested by the Director.
  • Knowledge of HR labor posting compliance and ensuring postings are completed as needed.

Job Specifics

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, file management, and general office duties.
  • Maintain and update employee files and HR databases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including attending job fairs, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, and preparing new hire paperwork.
  • Conduct background checks, license verification, fingerprinting verification, and arrange employment screening appointments.
  • Complete I-9 forms for new hires and recertifications.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives such as employee engagement programs and benefits open enrollment.
  • Prepare and distribute HR documents as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive staffing and personnel information.
  • Represent the hospital professionally in all interactions with staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix, in good faith, believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
