Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of human capital management practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Manage employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
- Support employee relations initiatives by addressing concerns and facilitating conflict management.
- Provide guidance on benefits-related inquiries.
- Coordinate performance management processes, including employee evaluations and training & development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, OSHA, and other employment & labor laws.
- Participate in strategic planning efforts related to organization design and succession planning.
- Conduct data collection for affirmative action planning and other HR projects.
- Upload and upkeep safety Matrix: uploading certificates or training logs into appropriate files and overseeing employees missing trainings. Update the matrix with current employees.
- Assist with selecting appropriate safety videos for the monthly topic: verifying the safety videos comply and relate to food manufacturing or industrial manufacturing.
- Assist managers with safety trainings for employees.
- Assemble the new safety hire orientation packets for new hires and temps.
- Assist with organizing Monthly Safety Events: If no incidents/accidents employees will receive a safety reward.
- Keep track of the yearly budget for both facilities: keeping receipts, and records of how much money is being spent.
- Arrange Train, the trainer for the safety topic of the month: ensuring management is available to discuss expectations, importance, and deadlines for the monthly topic.
- Maintain all injury reports: refill folders, creating folders for employees, and scanning documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles with a focus on HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of talent management principles and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficient in social media management for recruitment purposes.
- Experience with payroll systems such as Paycom is a plus.
